The Nine experience

Five things we care about

A small resort, built slowly, around a few simple ideas.

Private

Space between everything. Your own veranda, your own garden, and no crowd to share the morning with.

Peaceful

Water, palms and birdsong. The loudest thing you will hear here is the wind moving through the coconut trees.

Personal

We are a family project, not a chain. You will be welcomed by the people who built the place.

Authentic

Real Kui Buri: fishing boats, local kitchens and neighbours who wave. Thailand as it is lived.

Tropical

Teak, green shade and warm evenings under festoon lights. Handmade, not manufactured.

Our story

The Story Behind The Nine

The Nine began as something personal. A quiet piece of land between the coconut groves and the water in Kui Buri, and a simple wish: to build a place where the days become longer and the noise falls away.

We built it slowly and by hand — teak, open verandas, a lawn that runs down to the water, and space between everything. Small on purpose, so that every guest is looked after personally rather than processed.

What we offer is not a hotel programme. It is privacy, tropical nature, the sound of the palms, honest Thai hospitality and the beach life of a coast that has stayed itself. Relaxed luxury, in the truest sense.

Not just a place to stay. A place to slow down.

The destination

Discover Kui Buri

Kui Buri is the Thailand that most travellers pass by. A long, soft coastline on the western gulf, coconut plantations that run to the horizon, and mountains that hold one of the country's last great elephant forests.

Life here still follows the tide. Fishing boats leave before sunrise and return with the day's catch; the market fills with fruit from the fields behind the village; in the late afternoon the light turns gold and everything slows down at once.

There are no crowds to escape, because they never arrived. What is here instead is space, nature, warmth and the rare feeling of being somewhere real — a coast for travellers looking for peace, privacy and Thailand at its own pace.

Around us

The Kui Buri Experience

Everything worth knowing within easy reach of The Nine — from wild elephants at dusk to the seafood grills by the harbour.

Kui Buri National Park

Forested mountains and grassland where wild elephants still move freely at dusk. One of the most quietly remarkable places in Thailand.

Kui Buri Beach

Long, soft and almost empty. A shoreline made for barefoot morning walks rather than crowds and sunbeds.

Local fishing villages

Wooden boats, drying nets and the rhythm of the tide. Village life here has kept its own pace for generations.

Fresh seafood

Landed in the morning, grilled the same evening. Simple, honest cooking with salt, lime and charcoal.

Nature and wildlife

Elephants, gaur, hornbills and pineapple fields against the mountains — the wild edge of the Gulf coast.

Local markets

Morning produce, tropical fruit and street kitchens where the whole town eats. Bring an appetite and small notes.

Prachuap Khiri Khan

A calm bay town of limestone hills, seafront promenades and some of the best seafood on the coast.

Hua Hin day trips

An easy hour north for markets, galleries and dinner by the pier — then back to the quiet.

Beautiful beaches

Bays and coves along the coast road, each with its own light, its own sand and very few footprints.

Thai culture and local life

Temples, family kitchens and neighbours who wave as you pass. Thailand as it is lived, not performed.
